Great spot for nature lovers!
Science North is worth every minute. The exhibits are fun even for adults and the lake views around the city are just stunning. People here are super laid-back and easy to talk to. Really solid destination if you love the outdoors.
Loved the winter feel up north
The snowmobile trails near Sudbury are something else entirely. Fresh snow, big open spaces, and barely any crowds. Downtown has decent food spots and locals are genuinely friendly. Poutine at a small diner on Elgin Street hit the spot after a cold day outside.
Solid city with a lot going on
Came mostly to check out the mining history and the Big Nickel did not disappoint. It sounds quirky but the whole Dynamic Earth experience is genuinely fascinating. The city itself is bigger than I expected and easy to get around. Good restaurants too.
Perfect fall getaway
The colours around Ramsey Lake in autumn are absolutely unreal. Kayaking on the lake with that backdrop felt like being inside a postcard. The city has a relaxed pace that makes it easy to slow down. Food scene is small but good quality.
Underrated summer destination in Ontario
So many lakes within a short drive it's almost ridiculous. Fishing, swimming, hiking - you can pack a lot into a few days here. Science North is great if you need a break from the outdoors. The local blueberries are genuinely the best I've ever had.
Fun family trip with lots to do
Kids absolutely loved Dynamic Earth and the underground mine tour. It's educational but also genuinely exciting for them. The area around Bell Park is lovely for a walk along the water. Affordable compared to bigger cities and way less stressful.
